Do you want to automatically calculate a commission on your invoices or invoice lines? You can easily set this up via an extra field. This way, the commission is applied automatically without manual calculations.


Commission as a percentage of the total (multiplication)

With this method, the commission is already included in the total amount. The percentage you set determines which part of the total is considered commission. This is useful when working with all-in prices and you want to automatically derive the commission without increasing the total.


Go to the menu in the top right corner: Settings → Extra fields and click ‘Add +’


Configure the extra field with the following settings:

  • Description: Commission
  • Internal name: commission
  • Input type: Free field
  • Field type: Percentage
  • Use as: Multiplication
  • Available for: Invoice items


How does it work in practice?

When adding a line to the invoice, you can enter the commission percentage via the extra field.

The system automatically applies this percentage as a multiplication to the line amount. This ensures that the commission is immediately processed correctly in the calculation.



Commission on top of the total (addition)

With this method, the commission is calculated on top of the original total amount. The set percentage is added on top, increasing the final amount. This is ideal when you want to charge the commission separately and show it transparently to the customer.


Go to the menu in the top right corner: Settings → Extra fields and click ‘Add +’, as in the previous example.


Configure the extra field with the following settings:

  • Description: Commission
  • Internal name: commission
  • Input type: Free field
  • Field type: Addition
  • Use as: Multiplication
  • Available for: Invoice items
